The Three Students of Teacher Niwa

The little girl was now curiously looking with her tilted head towards the scene before her some few distance ahead.
There seems to be a girl with a young falcon on her and a boy with a sling around his neck. They seem to be talking to the woman reading a book, her face half hidden by her book. The woman then raised up from her seat and dropped her book down to waist level and spoke something to the two before her.

She then tried to eavesdrop at what she could be saying to them. Probably gossip. The little girl then made a little smile while she strained her neck, trying not to look out of place. As if she did not fall out from the roofs and is now sitting on a pile of broken tiles. Talking about trying not to look being out of place.

After a while, the little girl gave up trying to overhear their conversation. She then stood up and duster herself clean of the rubble she was sitting in.

What did the weird black figure said again?

The only thing she could remember from all the jumbling words that came out of her head was her name being spoken. Now why would her name be spoken? And written in that odd, nondescript scroll that he . . . or whatever that thing is reading? A sudden thought then hit her. Could she be Sunaku Niwa? The Leaf jounin in the bulletiin? The one who is supposed to take them out to the ruins for the research trip? Uh oh . . .

Maybe the black figure was her summons. Then why is she . . . Maybe she doesn’t know me. Maybe. The little girl had a gut feeling that she is watching her from a corner of an eye. Talking about making first impressions! Maybe she’ll give me punishment! Eek!

With that, the little girl scurried out and hurriedly ran towards the front of the inn as she respectfully bowed at her from the side. She could only presume that it was her sensei and not some other teacher. If not, then at least she tried.

Little Girl: Izanami Hirosue, New Leaf Academy Student reporting! Leaf Jounin Sunaku Niwa? Sensei?

The little girl still didn’t get up from her bow. Her head almost touching the ground, eyes trying to look at her sensei’s feet. My, what beautiful slippers she have. Wish I had one of those . . .

Her bluish white eyes also tried to peer at the two kids that could only be her classmates. They look tougher than her. Aww. Maybe I would have a hard time trying to catch up with them. Anyway, I hope they don’t eat fire and newbies like me. Ugh.
