Clone Tactics

Kami waited patiently as Amatsu soon arrived to the board. He had become a bit more tired as the genjutsu on Hibiki began to take more and more of a toll. Having to continually keep him in the illusion even while in pain was a pain in itself and Kami noted for next time he would ever give an exam, to have illusionists do his work for him.

The smile Kami had on turned from unreal to real with a bit, since no matter how much he had hated being around Amatsu for his own reasons, she had learnt quite a bit. It was only a matter of time until she would surpass him in the field, but that would only mean his job was done. Reminding himself why he had even become a doctor, Kami pushed his mind back to the situation at hand, where Amatsu identified the problem in his question. To name the huge amounts of pressure points was useless, just knowing their general location would do just fine. But giving her the satisfaction of a correct answer seemed a bit too humbug for the teen, now plotting ways to mess things up a bit more.

With a mischievous grin on the inside Kami finalized his plan.

"Wrong, as a medic, you need to know exactly where each pressure point is. The fact that you would offer me such vague generalizations is a direct reflection on the amount of effort you have put in. Well it can't be helped, you weren't as good as I had hoped."

Kami was a natural, or hopefully he was. He followed with a disappointed sigh, but inside he was already breaking up in laughter. Of course he had to make sure he didn't release Hibiki, or take the mud clones out of the corner of his sight, or else both of the scenarios would vanish. But on the matter of mud clones, Kami turned to see Suweh defend with clones of he own. Wait why was one of his 2 clones now splattered up on the ceiling? Looking up in confusion Kami saw a gaping whole in the clone's …. Thousand years of pain? Seemed like a move Kazi would do, not a little evil kitty like Suweh!

But Kami hadn't really made the rules according to his expectations, so he merely turned around, to face Amatsu again, with another façade, this time, one of an even more disappointed look. Shaking his head with dismay Kami began to speak again in a sunken tone.

"Fine fine, how much do you know about the human body's self regeneration?"

A trick question? Maybe, Kami just wanted to see Amatsu's thought process through it all, though his attention was rather diverted. His conscious mind now went back to controlling the genjutsu that Hibiki was in.

Hibiki's Questions wrote:

The Kami inside of the dream frowned as if the answer he heard was abysmally wrong. He would have to continue with the examination though, but hearing the answer had gotten Kami to an already concrete conclusion.

What's more important to a medic, saving lives or discovering more about this world? Say if he or she could only pick one.

The Kami inside awaited an answer leaning towards the latter, or at least something to salvage the streak such a poor former answer had set.

-Mud clone 1 is blown to smithereens and is now splattered up on the wall.
-Mud clone 2 is confuzled because of the 3 Suwehs
-Hibiki still chillin' out in the dream
-Amatsu is faced with Kami's ebiilness.

Kashiwa Amatsu wrote:Amatsu looked openly disturbed, a mixture of incredulity and disappointment on her face. Kami was so impossible. How did he expect her to answer a question like that? Was he just trying to make the examination hard for her? If he was, she would just have to strive better and come out tops at the end of it. Her expression shifted instantly to a determined one. She wouldn't allow herself to be mentally defeated.

Kami's next question was just as vague as the last. The human body's self regeneration? Amatsu gently cleared her throat.

"The regeneration of a complex body such as the human's is not as, well, shall I say, effective as the regeneration of some lower animals. However, the human body has the ability to regenerate simple injuries, such as a light cut from a kunai, rather easily. Deeper injuries will heal, however, the scar will remain. I'd like to call that an imperfect regeneration. The loss of a limb is beyond the regeneration of the human body... without chakra assistance, of course. Once the limb is lost, it can not be grown back. There have been medical reports of little children of ages ten and below being able to regenerate the tip of a finger, if it was cut off, as long as the wound was not sealed off. Some internal organs, such as the liver can regenerate a little, but I don't know how many of these organs can regenerate."

She paused, running a hand through her hair, her brows slightly furrowed in thought.

"I guess I'll conclude with this: As the human body grows from birth, the rate of its regeneration is high, as teeth and other injuries are replaced and healed quickly. When growth stops, the regeneration drops, and decreases probably, till the demise of the human."

She shrugged slightly, having said all that she knew.

"That's about the size of it."

I sat glaring at Kami as his face filled with a solid look that said I was wrong. I knew my answers where correct though. At least the first and second one. The other one was a simple matter of opinion and I thought the plan would work quite well. Of course knowing Kami I could see him being disappointed. After all he'd probably run and leave his team behind like the coward he was. Unlike him I wouldn't sacrifice my team for no reason. If he wanted to make the argument that the enemy was stronger than me then my response would be that I wouldn't be able to escape then either. Of course Kami wouldn't tell me my answers were incorrect or try to have me explain even further. He'd stay quiet and simply ask my questions like a coward.

His next question seemed overly simple to me. Asking me if it was a mednin's responsibility to save lives or gather knowledge! Knowing him though he'd go with knowledge and the answer might even earn myself points on the exam but I knew the right answer. Even if Kami being the monster he was would disagree. I was sure if I spelled it out for him then he wouldn't be able to argue. "A medic has a duty to administer first aid and save lives. It is not only their primary duty according to the books but also on a moral stand point. As a medic it would be wrong to sacrifice a life for the pure want to accumulate more knowledge. You primary stance is to be the leg that your team has to stand on and the minute you lose sight of your primary purpose you would not only be putting your team at risk but also the village. Anyone who thinks otherwise is no more than a traitor and murderer." I said purposely taking a shot at Kami. I knew he was a murderer and I knew that my comment my hit him hard yet at the same time I knew he couldn't get angry at me for simply answering a question correctly.

Kami almost felt sorry when he saw her reaction, it was almost as if he'd drawn Shikyo and stabbed her with it spontaneously. But he should have known, she had wanted to get into the medical field for quite a while, he shouldn't have done that.

Aw but it was so fun! As she began answering the next question he had already bargained with himself, saying that he would only go on with the charade a bit longer, to see how she maintained her cool when faced with an insurmountable obstacle, such as Kami's opinion. Eh who was he kidding, his toying had nothing to do with the exam.

Her answer was too complex for Kami to bite into. He had only wanted a summary, a defining spotlight to be shone on the matter at hand. But with her second to last sentence he was assured that she knew about the reasons why most medical jutsus were developed.

But how to respond? Oh he wouldn't simply reply with a 'good job Amatsu!' it was too simple, not quite deviant enough.

"Your answers are not quite as in depth as I expect from you. But I have to draw this exam to a close, so when Suweh is done, sit back down. Better luck next time..."

Kami had to add that last comment, his delinquent face was grinning on the inside but outside, he fought tenaciously to keep a straight face. Then, expressionlessly he turned to face Suweh and Hibiki, oh and his remaining clone, who by the looks of it was doomed. She had a good idea of defense, though some training was obviously needed. But Kami realized she was young, and unexposed to so much education as was in Hibiki's life. He couldn't expect to push her to any intellectual limit, that would be unfair.

After Amatsu had taken her seat, and after Suweh had finished up with what was left of the muddy victim that went for Hibiki, Kami readied to release Hibiki's genjutsu. It seemed Hibiki had gone forward and defended life instead of knowledge. Kami had yet to meet someone who had opted for the latter one. He had hoped Hibiki would chose the one harder to defend, harder to justify, but once again Kami was let down when Hibiki ended his answer. Murderer? Traitor?

Maybe one day Kami would find someone who chose the option no one else had before him. If Kami had been asked the question, he wasn't sure what he would defend, but good for him, the only questions he was asked were by little curious children who came for dreadful check ups.

-Everyone wait until Suweh posts, then Amatsu can go back and Hibiki is suddenly raised to consciousness.

Little Hirosue slowly noticed the clone's confusion.
Circled around the mud man with only one mission.
Little Hirosue's clones jumped in a count of one and two.
Clone three moved forward as she herself jumped up too.

Little Suweh twisted up in the air in a group of three.
Not even daring to make an attack till her aim is free.
Little Suweh's third clone vanished with a puff of smoke.
Two clones landing behind, hands reaching as if to choke.

Little Hirosue covered with the clone's smoke in partial.
Summoned up all her strength with all that was martial.
Little Hirosue's two clones now made their magic technique.
Covering the clone with smoke as the bull came charging quick.

[Actions:]
• Hirosue uses clones and their smokiness to confuse Muddy 2.
• Hirosue uses Bull Charge [Mastered] against Muddy 2.
