Note: Suweh = Izanami Hirosue
It was a early Monday morning when little Suweh woke up from her bed. The sun was just about to rise up and seemed as if peeking with it's warm sunshine at her window in greeting. Her eyes were still closed as she lazily walked in hunched position, dragging her thick woolen blanket along the way as she moved towards the slightly opened windows of her little room.
She slowly opened an eye and made a peek below outside at the people walking at the road nearby their home. Already the people of the Leaf village are moving with a low buzz at their daily tasks, walking around and talking amongst themselves.
Suweh then suddenly remembered that's it's her first day on her job. And she's so, soooo late!
Widening up her eyes in surprise, she hurriedly went and rummaged her little closet, looking for a quick dress. After a few minutes of cramming, she then got out of her room, in a small black shirt and pants, jumping towards the stairs while trying to tie her shoes.
She was about to descend to the stairs when she stopped for a while and looked at the small corridor to her right. A wooden door slightly opened. Her mother's room. She sneaked while hopping a little on her toes as she moved towards the door and made a peek.
Her mother was still sleeping. And peacefully. Her silky black tresses embracing her neck protectively as she hugged her big pillow about her. Suweh made a small smile and made a silent goodbye to her.
Wasting no time, she descended to the stairs and snatched two pancakes as she passed the kitchen, hurrying up to the entrance of their house. As she passed the living room, she heard a small tsk-tsk-tsk sound coming from a figure sitting in a desk.
Aunt Katzumi: First day as a courier and you're late. Very, very late. *furrowed eyebrows*
Suweh didn't respond and just twiddled with her thumbs and looked at the wooden floor in front of her. It was he Aunt who helped her get the job because she wants it. She wants to run and run like the wind. But now that she disappointed her so early in the morning and at her first day on the job at that, thing don't look good. An awkward silence seemed to pass for a brief moment then her aunt gave a sigh and talked to her.
Aunt Katzumi: You are to deliver these letters to the following names on this list. The directions are all in here so you won't find yourself confused. It's all right, I've already talked with them. You may go now.
*points her mouth to the stacked letters on the desk as she placed the list on top and leaves the living room, heading for the stairs*
Suweh then looked up a bit surprised at the sudden turn of events. She just marveled at how did her Aunt manage to do all that before she woke up. She called back an awkward thanks to her aunt's back. Scratching her head, she hurriedly took the letters and the list and ran out of their house.
As she delivered the letters, Suweh felt thankful for her Aunt in giving her another chance to prove herself to her. With that, Suweh then ran as fast as she can all day to make sure that the letters were delivered soon . . .
