The Ruins of Leaf

Upon this cursed ground once stood the former Hidden Village of Leaf, now a relic, a reminder of vindictive power of the world we take for granted. Passersby, few and far between, glance at the broken shards of what was once an awe-inspiring creation, built on the dreams of the first Ninja to ever inhabit these lands. Now, the area has been stripped of its vitality, devoid of any signs of life, the repugnant stench of death hangs heavily here, even lingering in the very air they breathe.

Broken buildings, trampled remains, items left discarded in the rush to depart the village lay scattered and strewn about. Corpses, the flesh long since rotted off to leave torn, faded, and dirty clothes hanging loosely upon only sun-bleached bone, can be spotted here and there, some trapped and unable to leave, some standing their ground and refusing to, and some caught asleep and oblivious to the panic that proceeded the destruction of the old village. There is even one of a small child in aged clothes who's rampant bloodstains had long-since faded from red to brown, barely graduated from the academy. His Konoha headband hangs around what would have been the neck but is now simply the spine above the clavicle, long-since scratched into near-unrecognizability as he stood defiantly when others fled, only to meet his death; perhaps an omen of the futile cycle that all ninja pledge their lives to when they begin the trek down the path of the shinobi.

If one were to inspect the Ruins closer, they could still decipher some of the monuments of a more peaceful, simpler time. Most striking is the Old Kage Cliff, the once resplendent stone faces of Hokages past that were exquisitely carved into the rock face by Konoha's Artisans, now lay decrepit, the elements contorting their expressions into ones of horror, sadly fitting for such a place...

What a day it was turning out to be, from kitties flying through the air to a little girl that only recent seemed to be okay. Hell now she seemed worse then the Sunaku when it came to ADD moments. Things just don’t seem to make sense right now, at least not yet that is. Things would clear up eventually but by then things would bound to get out of hand and someone might end up dead, or missing. This of course would cause the Sunaku to be in monumental trouble. Of course the chocolate she got earlier was lovely as well.

“Students we are close to the camp site so don’t go wandering off!”

The Sunaku yelled as she turned towards the direction of the campsite that was being set up by her sand clone and dashed full speed leaving dust in her wake. Of course the students would be able to follow due to the fact that she wasn’t a super speedy ninja more of a super defense ninja if anything.

-------------------------------------------------

Upon arriving at the campsite the Sunaku turned back towards where her students should be arriving from and grinned. Hell it didn’t take long for her to set up a nice little trap for them. Which if they weren’t careful would land then in a world of pain, after all nothing sucks more then having rubble fall on top of you, even if said rubble was only sand.

“Hurry your butts up!”

The Sunaku yelled down the long street that they had to follow to reach the campsite which was located in what seemed to be one of the cities major squares back in the day when it wasn’t ruins. Of course the yelling was to actually cause them to hopefully speed up, and see if they could still react fast enough at such speeds to avoid setting off a trap. It wasn’t one of her major test but it was still a test none the less, that hopefully they all would pass.

Aki couldn't believe she was finally to go to the ruins. Her grandmother had said that it was a place worthy to see. When Aki was close to the Ruins, she stopped runing to reach her seemingly high-sugar sensei and instead stared at the view. She was shocked.
When her grandmother had said that it was worthy of seeing, she didn't really mention why. And now Aki knew.
Before her, the ruins of the old Konoha.
She suddenly looked at something that seemed to shine in the sun. She went closer. A leaf headband. And she didn't want to see the rest of it so she turned away from the late little boy towards where her sensei had ran to. She spotted her.
Aki heard her yell something about butts. Oh well... Maybe she is gonna kick our butts if we don't go to her...
With this escuse, Aki left the nightmarished spot and ran towards her sensei. But since she had interrupted her straight running line, she wasn't coming the way the sensei was looking. Maybe she didn't see her separate from the running group.

Mei was running as fast as she could towards where... she thought... her sensei was.
Mei saw her sister go someplace else other where there sensei was. Mei wanted to follow her but how her sister slowed her footsteps showed her to not.
She looked forward again, there was the sensei. She yelled something about hurrying our butts there. Aki seemed to react to this so she began to ran towards Sensei.
Mei began to run towards her sensei.

Takeo had spent most of his trip looking at the ground. When he finally took a moment to look up, he was surprised to see how drastically his footsteps had changed his surrounding environ.

Just as the teacher made her advisable yet obvious statement, it seemed like those chocolate chemicals, namely sugar and caffeine, were getting to her. She sprinted ahead, making it difficult to keep up. Of course, if you fell behind, you'd obviously get lost. Why the teacher would tell a person to stay close and then perform actions generally meant for shaking pursuers was beyond Takeo.

He was fairly certain that he didn't want to get lost though. He had not payed attention to how they had gotten there and would not know which way was the direction of the village. He sprinted ahead in his silence, noting the teacher's swears to hurry up as he followed where he knew the teacher just ran.

Little Hirosue was tired and exhausted.
Abusing Speed Boost, chakra level was busted.
Little Hirosue sleepily sucked her green bib.
Cramped legs felt as if about to give.

Little Suweh suddenly gasped in surprise.
The Sunaku dashed, hurled sand in her eyes.
Little Suweh avoided, yet all was too late.
For the sand got in, as good as checkmate.

Little Hirosue began to cry.
Feeling itchy, she scratched her eye.
Little Hirosue slumped on the ground.
Moaning loudly, she cried like a hound.

Little Hirosue cried and said "Mama~!"
Crying loudly, she really made some drama.
Little Hirosue cried and cried.
Left behind by all, as if cast aside.

Little Suweh's vision was dark and black.
Pain in her eye burning, just like a plank.
Little Suweh heard Niwa to hurry up.
Making her ask, "Hey, what's up?"

Little Hirosue wondered if anybody heard her cries.
Curiously thinking, they all have a heart like ice?
Little Hirosue hugged her little friend tight.
Saya, the teddy bear, chased her pain away just like in a fight.
